WELCOMING WOMEN TO BEAUTIFUL NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE
President's Message - Fall 2024
Welcome Back!!!!
As I sat on the rocks of Georgian Bay and the Shores of the Muskoka Lakes this summer, I was reminded of all the beautiful places we have right here in Ontario.
NOTL is one of those places. People come to visit, and new people move here to enjoy the beauty of the small-town vibe, the Niagara River, the wineries, the Shaw Festival, our fruit festivals and many of our other special places and activities.
NOTL Newcomers is an exceptional group of women, here to welcome new members to NOTL – to be supportive and informative, to show off our great area- to offer Friendship to All our members.
Since 1991, NOTL Newcomers was built on the shoulders of many talented and caring women. I want to acknowledge all these women who gave their time and their friendship to new members. Please visit our website and look under our history. We have put together a list of all the Executive Board Members since 2000. My sincere thank you to all of them.
What is wonderful about Newcomers is that we have people who have been members for many years. They renewed their memberships each year. That is the success of Newcomers. These seasoned members know the secrets that our area holds, know the off the beaten track restaurants and fun wineries, know where to shop etc. and they share these with the new members who move to NOTL.
In this spirit, I welcome all our “seasoned” members back and welcome new members just joining.
We have a great guest speaker to help us kick off our new year.
Please join us – see you September 18!!!!!
Yours in friendship –
Megan Wood
President, Niagara-on-the-Lake Newcomers Club
The NOTL Newcomers Club is for women who live in the Ontario municipality of Niagara-on-the-Lake, which includes Old Town, Glendale, Queenston, St. Davids and Virgil. Our goal is to welcome women who are new to the town, and to help them meet one another and discover everything our unique town has to offer residents.
Membership is open to women who have recently moved to Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL) and also to women residents who have undergone a major change in their lives, such as retirement, and want to become more involved in local life.
As a social club our goal is to help women who are new to the Niagara-on-the-Lake area, or who have had a significant life change to make new friends and participate in fun social activities. Let's all hope that we will be able to have a busy year full of fun, social engagements and join a new interest group or participate in a new activity where we meet new people.
